The images that make up this design were both photographed in Abingdon.
The first image is of a beautiful autumnal sun, rising and emerging through early morning river mist; and the foreground a row of sail boats, creates this smokey silhouette. The second image; a maple tree on Stert Street. The leaves had turned from orange, yellow, red, and even a blueberry colour (this was quite an amazing sight to see!).
My design was initially created to appear on the Oxford Writers House website, at the end of 2017. To support a writers competition page, to celebrate Oxfordshire; to inspire writers. This is one of a series of four different designs.
Specifications:
Internal shade fitting: UK, Europe: The shade fits the standard bayonet cap (BC) and also with Edison Screw (E27) lamp holders (remove the converter plug in the centre of the fitting). US & Canada: unless otherwise stated, washer fittings (1/2" ring) will be used, for lamps that use a harp or vertical rod system.
Fabric design: The placement of the design, at the seam, may vary. This is because they are handmade and come in varying sizes, but will be set as 25cm high so to retain the scale of the design.

On a weekend stroll around the back of town centre on Stert Street, I spotted this beautiful autumnal Maple tree.
The most amazing thing about it was the blueish/purple leaves against the turning reds and oranges. I had to take its picture - the colours were amazing!
When the early morning river mist and sun both rise, it creates a very atmospheric and beautiful effect to its surroundings. Pretty breath taking!
The silhouettes of the sailing boats against the rising sun and mist, blend together creating blurred lines.
