The first photo taken is of the golden Cotswold stone of Nuffield College, lit up by the sunlight with a row of dark tree branches in front. The second, of the Radcliffe Camera (The Bodleian Libraries, Oxford), I repeated its silhouette, layering it over and over again. Inspired by the music video, Bohemian Rhapsody. Instead of echoing faces, I thought of echoing buildings.
The two photos compliment each other very well and the branches and building silhouette adds a lacey effect to the overall design.
My design was initially created to appear on the Oxford Writers House website, at the end of 2017. To support a writers competition page, to celebrate Oxfordshire; to inspire writers. This is one of a series of four different designs.
Specifications:
Internal shade fitting: UK, Europe: The shade fits the standard bayonet cap (BC) and also with Edison Screw (E27) lamp holders (remove the converter plug in the centre of the fitting). US & Canada: unless otherwise stated, washer fittings (1/2" ring) will be used, for lamps that use a harp or vertical rod system.
Fabric design: The placement of the design, at the seam, may vary. This is because they are handmade and come in varying sizes, but will be set as 25cm high so to retain the scale of the design.

**Made to order, upon receiving payment. **Leave up to 10 to 14 working days, which will include your fabric to be printed and posted to me, your lampshade to be handmade and then on its merry way to you. **Of course your lampshade could be with you between 2-3 working days, if fabric and shade rings already in stock.**Overseas delivery may take longer than 14 working days, dependent on where you live.

I captured the sunlight rebounding off The Nuffield College, purposefully taken to display the dark network of tree branches in the foreground. Most of my photos happen to be in the later time of year, because the light is more dramatic.
The Radcliffe Camera photo was taken from the top of St Mary's, with shadows casting from behind. The dark grey sky in the background, with the light hitting the library, produced a lovely contrast of light and dark.
An interesting collaboration of colour, light and shape - the tree branches in the foreground of the Nuffield, producing a laced effect on the repeating silhouette of the The Bodleian.
